FAQ
Have Questions About EquaVita Home Watch?
We’ve answered some of the most common questions about our services, scheduling, Assurance Visits, and client portal.
What is Home Watch? + −
Home Watch is a scheduled service where a Home Watch professional attends an unoccupied property and visually observes accessible areas according to an agreed service scope.
The visit is documented and reported to the homeowner.
What happens during a Home Watch visit? + −
The scope depends on the service tiers you select.
Visits can include visual observation of accessible interior and exterior areas, temperature and humidity observations where applicable, visible water concerns, accessible household areas, photographs, written observations, and other items included within your selected Home Watch checklist.
How often should my home be checked? + −
Visit frequency depends on your property, how long you're away, and your insurance policy requirements. Review your policy and build your Home Watch schedule with EquaVita accordingly. You can set a recurring schedule through the client portal based on your needs or your insurer's required visit frequency.
Will I receive documentation after every visit? + −
Yes. Completed Home Watch visits are documented, and the applicable visit information is made available through your secure client portal.
Do I get reports after every visit? + −
Yes — every visit comes with dated photos and a clear written log, uploaded to your secure client account for instant access.

No.
EquaVita provides Home Watch visits, property observation, documentation, reporting, and specifically authorized convenience or coordination support within the agreed service scope.
Repairs, maintenance, trade work, cleaning, landscaping, snow removal, and other specialized services are completed by independent third-party providers.
Can you contact my insurance company for me? + −
We don't forward reports directly, but we make it simple for you to download and share your records anytime.
Can EquaVita help me find a contractor? + −
When a property requires work outside the Home Watch scope, you may use your preferred provider.
If you don't have one, EquaVita may provide a referral from its independent local referral network where an appropriate provider is available.
The homeowner remains responsible for selecting, authorizing, contracting with, and paying the third-party provider.
